This unique outdoor recreation club, set in the heart of Labrador's pristine wilderness, offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages and skill levels. The network of trails is perfect for year-round excursions. During the summer and fall, a mix of wide ski trails and single-track snowshoe trails offer a variety of excellent hiking options. The trails wind through dense forests, over babbling brooks, and up to open lookouts. Pack a lunch, take a seat at the top of the lookout, and enjoy the stunning view of Gosling Lake! Skiing at Birch Brook Nordic Ski Club
At the core of Birch Brook’s appeal is its extensive network of cross-country ski trails. Groomed trails wind through picturesque birch and spruce forests, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Trail passes can be purchased online. If the chalet is open when you arrive, volunteers can provide rental equipment and trail passes on site. After your ski, warm up in the cozy chalet with the beautiful views of the Mealy Mountains and Lake Melville.

More Than Just Skiing
If skiing isn’t your thing, snowshoeing is another popular option, with specific snowshoeing trails that get you up close and personal with the wilderness. Snowshoeing is an accessible and family-friendly way to explore the snowy terrain and immerse yourself in nature.
For those looking to experience something a bit different, fat biking is another winter activity available at the club. This growing sport involves cycling on snow-covered trails with bikes with oversized tires, giving riders an exhilarating experience in winter conditions. Fat biking is perfect for adventurers looking to try something new and exciting in the winter months. Check with volunteers in the chalet to rent a bike. If you have your own fat bike, be sure to check with volunteers in the chalet before hitting the trails.
